Recipes

I only expected to post once today, but things come flooding back.

Everyone knows both Kerry and I loved to cook.  It was a constant competition.

Here's a couple recipes, one we made all the time, the other we only made once.  Kelly reminded me of the first one, the second one I would not recommend.

Steak Sandwich

2 loaves of fresh Italian bread
2-3 lbs of Steak (round steak, chuck steak, whatever is steak and on sale)
2 large onions sliced
1 lb of cheese (American, Provolone, Swiss) sliced
Salt/Pepper

Prepare the "roll".  Take the loaves and cut sub-style down the middle.  These must be unsliced Italian bread loaves.  Yes those, the kind you use for garlic bread, normally one loaf per family.  We are doing 1 loaf per sandwich, hell at 19 years old, who cares.

FRY the meat in a cast iron pan (or a regular if no cast iron is available), add onion half way through cooking.  Fry onions until soft.

Remove steak and split between the loaves, add 1/2 lb of cheese to each, then onion on top.

Grab a couple Miller Lite's and chow down.  (This amount of food could cause serious problems for those over 25)

"Get you movin" Spaghetti
Spaghetti (google any recipe)
1 Annoying "can I have some of that?" roommate (If they have a silly name like "Dougy D" all the better
2 Roommate's with an evil streak
6 Tablets of Ex-Lax (ground)
1 Shaker of Parmesan Cheese

Prep spaghetti and sit down to eat just before annoying roommate gets home.  When roommate asks "hey can I have some of that?" say "sure" and head to kitchen.

Serve spaghetti to roommate with the ground Ex-Lax covered with cheese.  If they ask about funny taste, tell them it's your grandmother's special recipe.  Wait 45 minutes.

Deny doing anything to the food for the next 24 hours as the annoying roommate calls out from bathroom.

The intent was to get him to the restroom once.  We may have technically overdosed the poor fella.  He used the restroom at home and at work about 50 times during the next 24 hours.

Again you must be 18-19 years old for your body to handle this sort of thing.  DO not attempt on an older roommate.  (Seriously, had we known, we would have used 3 tablets).......

Were you guys laughing your asses off when he was calling from the bathroom? How did you keep a straight face?

I forgot about Doug the roommate. I thought his mom cooked all his meals and hand delivered them with his fresh laundry :)

Kerry came over to mom and dad's and asked if I could help him make a room screen to separate his part of the room from Doug's. How did you guys end up with him as a roommate anyway?

And did he ever get revenge?
